Hybrid 155 available for the Dacia Jogger

The new Hybrid 155 powertrain of the Dacia Jogger consists of an 80 kW (109 hp) 1.8-liter gasoline engine, a 37 kW (50 hp) electric motor, a starter/generator, a 1.4 kWh battery (230V), and a four-speed automatic transmission for the combustion engine and two speeds for the electric motor. Thanks to this innovative, electronically controlled transmission without a clutch, this powertrain with a system output of 104 kW (155 hp) and 170 Nm guarantees excellent driving characteristics and efficiency. Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are 10% lower compared to the previous Hybrid 140 powertrain of the Jogger. The car always starts in EV mode, and in city traffic, the Jogger can even drive fully electric for up to 80% of the time.

Eco-G 120 automatic: LPG now also available with automatic transmission

The Dacia Sandero, Sandero Stepway, and Jogger are now available with a renewed 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo engine with flex-fuel technology (LPG). This powertrain with an output of 88 kW (120 hp) is 20 hp stronger than before and combines the advantages of LPG with those of an automatic transmission. The smooth and quick six-speed automatic with dual clutch is available for all models as an alternative to the manual transmission. A first for Dacia is that the transmission can also be manually operated via the paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

Additionally, customers benefit from a larger LPG tank. Instead of 40 liters, the Jogger offers a tank capacity of 48.8 liters, while the Dacia Sandero and Sandero Stepway can now carry 49.6 liters of LPG. This increases the range in LPG mode by 20%. The total range (LPG + gasoline) is now 1,590 km for the Sandero, 1,480 km for the Sandero Stepway, and 1,450 km for the Jogger.

A modernized design and the introduction of Starkle®

The Dacia Sandero, Sandero Stepway, and Jogger are the first models with the new LED light signature of the brand, featuring an inverted 'T' above the newly designed headlights. This design emphasizes the robust stance of the models and enhances brand identity recognition. New LED taillights also contribute to a more modern appearance at the rear. The robust character of the Dacia Sandero Stepway is further emphasized by the new ribbed matte black strip between the taillights and the newly designed rear bumper.

Furthermore, the Dacia Sandero Stepway and Jogger feature new protective parts in Starkle® around the wheel arches, along the underside of the body, and at the front fog lights. This material, developed by Dacia, consists of 20% recycled plastic. Starkle®, first applied to the new Duster, is used untreated and unpainted, making it less scratch-sensitive. Additionally, a lower CO2 footprint is achieved in its production.

For customers seeking more driving comfort and safety, automatic lighting, a multi-view camera, and electrically folding exterior mirrors are now available options. The Dacia Sandero, Sandero Stepway, and Jogger are also now available with a new multimedia system featuring a central 10-inch touchscreen, connected navigation, and a wireless phone charger. For a complete and optimal user experience, the interface of the 7-inch digital instrument cluster has been updated. Furthermore, the models are equipped with new driver assistance systems in accordance with the latest European safety standards, including automatic emergency braking assistance (city/highway with recognition of vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists) and a driver alertness system.

DUSTER AND BIGSTER WITH NEW, VERSATILE HYBRID-G 150 4X4 POWERTRAIN

Dacia expands the engine range of the Duster and Bigster with the Hybrid-G 150 4├ù4. This unique powertrain combines hybrid technology with the LPG bi-fuel system and four-wheel drive – a world first. The unique, versatile, and efficient Hybrid-G 150 4├ù4 consists of a 1.2-liter 48V mild-hybrid gasoline engine with 103 kW (140 hp) driving the front wheels, combined with an electric motor on the rear axle with an output of 23 kW (31 hp). The system output is 113 kW (154 hp), with a maximum torque of 230 Nm for the combustion engine and 87 Nm for the electric motor.

The combustion engine is coupled to a six-speed automatic with dual clutch, which can also be manually operated with the paddle shifters on the steering wheel. The electric motor is connected to a two-speed transmission and a disconnectable rear axle. The main advantage of the two-speed transmission with the rear-mounted electric motor is that it delivers high torque at low speeds in the first gear, while at higher speeds, the electric motor is spared while maintaining sufficient traction on the rear wheels at speeds up to 140 km/h.

With the disconnected rear axle, friction losses are eliminated, reducing fuel consumption in 2WD mode. This is a world first for an electric motor with 48V technology. The dual-clutch transmission can be operated via paddle shifters on the steering wheel. This is particularly useful for off-road use, towing a trailer, and in other specific driving conditions. Thanks to the electric motor driving the rear wheels and the 48V battery (0.84 kWh) that is charged while driving, the powertrain can regularly operate electrically. In city traffic, the Dacia Duster and Bigster Hybrid-G 150 4×4 can even drive fully electric for up to 60% of the time.

Customers of the unique Hybrid-G 150 4├ù4 powertrain also benefit from favorable fuel costs due to the low LPG price (average national recommended price per liter of €1.074, reference date February 1, 2026). The lower operating costs are accompanied by a 20 g/km lower CO2 emission compared to the current mild hybrid 130 4├ù4 engine variant. On LPG, the Dacia Duster Hybrid-G 150 4├ù4 records an average consumption of 7.1 l/100 km and a CO2 emission of 117 g/km. On gasoline, it consumes 5.9 l/100 km and emits 134 g/km. The Dacia Bigster Hybrid-G 150 4├ù4 consumes an average of 7.1 l/100 km on LPG, resulting in a CO2 emission of 115 g/km. On gasoline, it consumes an average of 5.9 l/100 km with a CO2 emission of 133 g/km.

Four-wheel drive with an electric motor on the rear axle offers several advantages:

  • Two gear ratios to optimize driving conditions in 4├ù4 mode up to 140 km/h.
  • A disconnectable rear axle that reduces friction and electrical losses, thereby lowering fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
  • Instant torque available as soon as slip is detected on either of the two axles.
  • Improved driving characteristics on the road and off-road.

The Dacia Duster and Bigster Hybrid-G 150 4×4 offer six driving modes for all conditions:

  • Auto, where the car automatically switches between 2WD and 4WD.
  • Eco, for maximum fuel savings with automatic activation of 4WD in low grip conditions.
  • Snow, for safer driving in 4WD mode in slippery conditions and on low-grip roads.
  • Mud / Sand, for a permanent 4├ù4 mode optimized for driving on loose surfaces.
  • Lock, for off-road use on rough terrain at low speeds.
  • Hill Descent Control, for controlled steering with a stable speed while descending between 3 and 30 km/h.

DACIA SPRING: IMPROVED DRIVING EXPERIENCE AND HIGHER EFFICIENCY THANKS TO NEW POWERTRAINS, NEW BATTERY, AND IMPROVED PLATFORM

As a compact all-rounder, the Dacia Spring received several updates in 2024 to optimize driving qualities. The electric power steering was recalibrated for more precision and feedback, it received new 15-inch wheels, and a new steering wheel with improved grip was installed. Now, the Dacia Spring takes a step further with structural changes that contribute to an even better driving experience:

  • The central part of the platform has been reinforced to accommodate the new lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 24.3 kWh and cell-to-pack technology. These adjustments provide a stiffer structure and better weight distribution between the front and rear axles, improving the overall balance of the car.
  • The braking system offers more confidence thanks to improved brake assistance. The 15-inch wheels, standard from the Expression trim level, elevate the handling to a higher level.
  • All versions of the Dacia Spring are equipped for the first time with a stabilizer bar. In combination with the newly tuned shock absorbers and springs, this improves stability in corners.

Dacia is also making improvements regarding aerodynamics. The underside of the car is largely covered to reduce air turbulence underneath the vehicle. To limit turbulence around the upper side of the tailgate, a new spoiler has been placed. These adjustments have a noticeable impact on range and significantly improve the CdA value: 0.660 instead of 0.745 with 14-inch wheels and 0.665 instead of 0.743 with 15-inch wheels.

The Dacia Spring can also count on two new motor variants with outputs of 52 kW (70 hp) and 75 kW (100 hp) replacing the previous versions with outputs of 33 kW (45 hp) and 48 kW (65 hp). These new, more powerful motors also deliver more power and torque (up to +20%) at speeds between 80 and 120 km/h, making the Spring feel more comfortable than ever outside the city.

The new powertrains, new battery, and improved aerodynamics together contribute to further efficiency gains. The Dacia Spring offers an energy consumption of 12.4 kWh/100 km (9% lower than before) and a range of up to 225 km (WLTP combined with 15-inch wheels). This means that most customers only need to charge once a week, as they typically cover about 34 km per day, spread over four trips, at an average speed of 34 km/h.
