1. Ensure good access control

With smart access control, from gates and barriers to turnstiles, cameras, and speedgates, you can keep track of who enters and leaves the construction site. In case of theft or sabotage, you can review this data to potentially expedite investigations. It is also valuable for visitors. They can temporarily gain access with a pass or QR code. In emergencies, such as fire or evacuation, access control can even be life-saving: you can quickly check if everyone has safely left the premises.

2. Maintain 24/7 surveillance with smart camera monitoring

With smart camera security featuring motion detection, you can keep an eye on things day and night. Suspicious situations are automatically reported to the control room, allowing immediate action to be taken by security or police. Cameras with detection are crucial for the safety of construction professionals: they immediately signal accidents and emergencies, so you can intervene as quickly as possible. By linking cameras, access control, lighting, and alarm systems, you can optimally secure the construction site. But don't forget digital security: protect your systems to prevent hackers from spying, disabling systems, and gaining access to the site.

3. Evaluate incidents and make adjustments

Prevention is better than cure. But if an incident does occur, it is important to view it as a learning opportunity. Evaluate what exactly went wrong: where was material stolen, what material was it, and how did the perpetrator gain access? Based on these insights, you can take targeted measures in the future, such as enhancing security for valuable materials or increasing surveillance in vulnerable locations.

4. Foster a culture of safety

A safe construction site is created together. Your employees, partners, and visitors are the eyes and ears of the site. This requires a transparent and trusted culture, in which construction professionals are actively involved and incidents are continuously analyzed and addressed. Awareness is central to this: training should not only focus on rules but also on dealing with dilemmas. What do you do if you see a colleague or an unauthorized person in a suspicious place? Where do you report this? And how do you address each other? This way, everyone works together towards a construction site where safety is always a priority.
