Zonnemarkt Group confirms its growth ambitions in its pioneering role in sustainable energy solutions through the acquisition of AP Solar. After joining the Belgian Green & Durable Group in February 2023, the company today takes a majority stake in AP Solar. The company, headquartered in Hoogezand in the northern Netherlands, is active in the installation of solar panels, home batteries, and charging stations for electric vehicles. Thanks to this sustainable investment, Green & Durable Group takes another step in the necessary energy transition.
AP Solar was founded in 2010 by the current director Jorch Kiewiet. With a focus on solar panels, charging stations, and home batteries, AP Solar currently carries out more than 3,500 installations per year. This provides the company’s more than 30,000 customers with sustainable and cost-effective solutions for the production of green energy. AP Solar is active in the northern Netherlands and represents a turnover of 18 million euros.
Like the collaboration with the Belgian installation companies Green & Durable Energy, Energreen, and the Dutch Agro-NRG and Zonnemarkt Group, the collaboration with AP Solar fits perfectly into the buy-and-build strategy of Green & Durable Group. The pioneer in sustainable energy solutions is now a market leader in Belgium and reaffirms its confidence in the Dutch market for solar energy products with this new participation.
