About Restaurant De Kas
Restaurant De Kas is located in Park Frankendael in Amsterdam-East and is housed in a monumental greenhouse from 1927. Since 2001, De Kas has been cooking in rhythm with nature, using what the greenhouse, gardens, and local growers provide. The seasons determine the menu, vegetables play the leading role, and everything goes from plant to plate as quickly as possible. Ingredients are seasonal, locally sourced, and organically grown.
Daily harvesting occurs from the own gardens and from the Beemster - what grows determines the menu. Sustainability is embedded in everything De Kas does. The restaurant achieved 16.5 points in the Gault & Millau guide, is listed in 50 Best Discovery, and holds both a Green Star and a Michelin star.
